SUCCESS STORY

Grian Werth's Padriag CDX RAE OA NAJ PD1 CGC

When Patrick came to train with Linore he had his agility titles and his novice obedience title (CD), but he was having a difficult time with the Open exercises.  He was very easily distracted and was reluctant to perform in the ring.  Linore suggested we try Rally to have fun in the the ring and gain confidence.  We both enjoyed it and Patrick became very excited about working.  He earned his CDX in Dec. of 2005 -- one of only two Wheatens to earn one that year.  He finished his RAE in May of 2006 by qualifying and placing with high scores in every trial he entered.

Joanne and Patrick

Patrick, a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier, had done a lot before coming to KerrKlickers. He has over 300 hours of therapy dog work as a Delta Society certified therapy dog and also worked with Faithful Friends therapy dog group throughout the Houston area.  He has received both the Versatility Dog award and the Versatility Dog Excellent award from the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of America.  However, he had come to view his performance events as a chore rather than as "fun".  After doing Rally with KerrKlickers, his enthusiasm for performance events returned and he worked on Utility exercises in the KerrKlickers Utility class until his untimely death in the summer of 2008.
